Erato Kokona was born in 1986 in Crete, Greece. She became interested in art from an early age. Throughout her childhood she attended several workshops including sculpture, painting and photography.
In 2004 she moved to Athens in order to study Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the Technological Educational Institution of Athens. Alongside her studies, she began her professional activity as a photographer. Her studies, her diverse professional experience as well as her exposure to new stimuli shaped her artistic expression.
